October Meeting Minutes

Call to order

A meeting of The Park Rd Association  was held at Playhouse on Park on October 16, 2025.

Co-Presidents Welcome 

Town Reports: 

Economic Development – Kristen Gorski / Lauren Siegel 

  • Virtual panel discussion October 30 - financial resources for small businesses. Registration link available on town website and in Econ Dev newsletter. 

  • Burger Squad still building out at 165 Park Road.

  • Ganesh Liquor Store and Little Ceasar’s Pizza both now open at Boulevard Shops.

  • Park Road Walk Through in July punch list of 32 items identified, issues ranging from Zoning/Code to Public Works.  262-268 Park Road - large pieces of facade hanging from building, now being addressed.  Several restaurant properties with trash issues have been resolved with Health Dept. 254 Park Road - overgrown weeds corrected. 

  • Various issues to be addressed during the upcoming Park Road rehabilitation project including loose bricks, holes in sidewalks, etc.

  • Concerns raised about 2 hour parking and lack of transparency around parking too close to crosswalk.

Town Manager - Rick Ledwith

  • Kristen promoted to Manager of Economic Development - Congratulations!!!

  • Town daylighting cross streets on east portion of Park Road to make it easier to see oncoming traffic without pulling out into Park.

  • Early voting in Town Hall from 10am-6pm two weeks prior to Election Day.

  • Pedestrian safety project - Town Hall handing out reflective vests in Town Clerk’s office.  Available in 5 sizes.  

Police Department

  • Citizen’s Academy has launched.

  • Attending various community events such as Halloween Stroll to improve outreach. 

  • Working with elementary schools on pedestrian safety.

  • Continuing high visibility traffic enforcement.

Chamber of Commerce – Chris Conway

  • Denise Whitford from SBDC hosted funding presentation at PM Connections. Presentation will be posted soon and linked in the Chamber newsletter. 

  • Noah Webster House ribbon cutting for expansion project today, and Halloween Party there this evening.

  • Nov 6 PM Connections - panel discussion on site-selection secrets - finding a commercial space.


Playhouse on Park

  • Million Dollar Quartet extended through November 2nd



Park Road Committees

  • Beautification committee: Troy Street is kicking off community involvement effort.  Picking up trash is the top priority. Kicking off with a clean up walk after Halloween, Nov 1.  Start at 10am on the Playhouse patio, and wrap by noon and meet at Salt + Lime. 

  • Considering a holiday decorating contest with businesses.


Special Presentation by the Town on the Kane & Kennedy Brook Flood Study
